This Sikorsky VS-316A Hoverfly II was one of 200 converted by Glidden Doman, retrofitting the original airframe with a special hingeless rotor system. The US Air Corps designation was the R-6A. The N-number is either spurious or has been deregistered, as it currently belongs to a different aircraft.
