Named "Shehecheyanu," 4X-ATA was the first 707 for El Al. This aircraft established a world distance and speed record when it flew the 5760 miles from New York to Tel Aviv in 9 hours and 33 minutes. After 23 years of faithful service, the aircraft was retired. El Al donated the nose section to the Intrepid Air and Space Museum; however, as seen in the photo, the precious artifact was traded to the Cradle of Aviation Museum, Garden City, NY, where it now resides.
