According to my dad this was one of three CH-21B's left in service with the USAF back around 1970-72. He said that this bird was flown to the USS Alabama site in full working order and landed there. Of Her two sister aircraft one went to an air maintenance school in Virginia or thereabout and the other was used as a target at a gunnery range. It is a shame that it has not been kept well over the years. It was one of the last working craft in service and they have allowed it to deteriorate.
