I was crew cheif on 0828 for 2 years out of Luke AFB, this was a fantastic aircraft! I was taxi and run qualified and flew backseat in it twice. It would typically fly 2 sorties a day, 5 days a week and in 2 years I can count on one hand the number of RED X snags. I was proud to have been a Phantom Fixer in the USAF and lucky to have charge of such a good aircraft.
