Actually F-111E 68-0011 cn180 but marked in memory of the two crew members whose 48TFW aircraft was lost during operation El Dorado Canyon against Libya on April 15th 1986. Said to be the longest fighter mission in combat history, 8 to 12 refuels per aircraft were required, but the result was a significant reduction in terrorist activity in the area. Seen in the Commemorative Area at RAF Lakenheath.
