This aircraft is actually a composite made from the wings and tail booms of A79-827 and the fuselage pod of A79-616. It was restored at RAAF East Sale in the 1990s for the RAAF Museum. A79-616 was one of 68 Vampire T Mk 35s delivered from 1957 to enable the RAAF pilot's course to include jet training.
