The last flight of G-Area was on the 9th December 1986 when I was the captain.
BAe decided that the aircraft was unsafe for its passengers, or should I say, the passengers preferred the BAe 125.
The "old lady" then suffered the hurricane, a squatter before finally finding a home at the Mosquito Museum.
A sad ending for an aircraft that had been flown by so many of the personalities of De Haviland.
