When training for my PPL I first flew this aircraft for my dual cross country on 11th August 1970. It was based at Stapleford, Essex and operated by Stapleford Flying Club. My instructor was Roy Thorpe, who subsequently married the CFI Fiona Smith. I believe they left England for Australia (Fiona's home country).
If they are still with us I wish them both the very best!
