I am pleased to see that I am now recognised as the builder and owner of G-BLDD, which I flew for 13yrs , only to let it go (for a song)to a socalled friend who said he would never sell it !!!!.
G-BLDD, in 1985 helped me be awarded the" Steve Lurcher "silver Rose bowl as the outstanding learner of the year at Yorkshire Flying club at LBA for at 50yrs old I was a live stock farmer who although working a seven day week ,had also completed a five year scratch build from plans-a airplane with NO how to do it instructions,- and also learned how to fly in the 12 months period. Whilst I owned G-BLDD it was awarded the "BEST HOME BUILT"prize at the last PFA rally at Burnaston air field before that was taken over by Japan and also was awarded the "Concourse d Elegance"prize at a Ronaldsway flyin ain the Isle of Man.

The five years I spent building G-BLDD was the most interesting part of my life, and I always said I would NEVER let it go,but times change and we all get older -But I am most someone who at least is interested in looking after it now ownes it,rather than people who ant nothing exept a quick profit!!!
I am 73 now & with a bit of care MY old pride and joy will keep on long after I am gone-please keep up the good work
Regards
Charles Laycock
