Transatlantic supersonic services were operated by BA from LHR to Washington-Dulles and the aircraft then continued to Houston operated by Braniff. This meant that the service became essentially a US internal flight which required the aircraft to be US registered. The BA Concords were al given special registrations to accommodate this service.
