This engine is the spare from when it was flying. This engine is a ZERO time engine rebuilt at Hawthorne Aviation. The log book was placed into the intake manifold. This engine DOES NOT have a carburator. The cowling on the engine is the ORIGINAL cowling that was put on this aircraft when built. It is smaller than would fit with the Warner radial. The Warner engine had a hand built cowling of a larger size & the original cowling was stored at Hawthorne aviation in Charleston, sc with a spre airworthy propellor. The one on it now. I was part of the crew that rebuilt this aircraft for placement in the Smithsonian.

I have a few pics of this aircraft taken immediatelly after being rebuilt. Willie Janson has a large amount of pics of this airplane.
