This aircraft was built as C-47A 42-100591 and delivered to USAAF on 11/6/43, and assigned to the U.S. 8th A.F. in Europe. on 1/1/48 the plane was placed in storage at Oberpfaff, West Germany On 5/20/50 the plane went to the Royal Norwegian Air Force as 2100591 and initially coded “T-AI” but later changed to “BW-I” during 1951 and then to “BW-K” during August 1955. On 8/8/56 the aircraft was transferred to the Royal Danish Air Force as K-684, in Eskadrille 721 until retired in 1982. In October 1982 the plane was ferried via Duxford to the USA and registered N3239T to Valiant Air Command. (Info from Arthur Pearcy’s 1988 “Douglas DC-3 Survivors)
