This Aircraft was featured in the 1956 re-make of "Back from Eternity", starring Rod Steiger, Robert Ryan, and Anita Ekberg. The plane (1935 DC-2) and crew makes an emergency landing in a South American Jungle valley and the drama begins... Great to see this plane reconditioned and still flying after almost 80 years. Amazing.

if I'm not mistaken this aircraft was used in the classic airplane adventure "Back From Eternity" http://tcmdb.com/title/title.jsp?scarlettTitleId=1202 (you can view the trailer for the film on this site) and is supposedly the only flying DC2 left. http://www.jetphotos.net/showphotos.php?regsearch=N39165
