On 2011-12-26 at about 2:00pm aircraft lost power, pilot attempted an emergency landing, aircraft stalled, then crashed at VNC (Venice Florida Municipal Airport) near a closed runway. Upon impact pilot was killed, aircraft exploded and burned for 15 mins and was a complete loss.
