Built as MT 818, as an LF.VIIIc, registered by Vickers- Armstrong Ltd between 1947-1956 as G-AIDN and converted to a TR.8 2 seat prototype. Shipped to the USA and registered as N58JE from 1986 to 2007. Shipped back to the UK in 2008 and re-registered as G-AIDN.

Was the T8 prototype and first flew in 1946 wearing the 'B-Condtitions' test markings N32, later changed to MT818. It was privately owned by John S. Fairey 1963-1976. It was shipped to the USA in 1982 to become N58JE and was last noted at the Tillamook NAS Air Museum, Tillamook, OR.
