I flew as first officer on DC-6 6586C out of the Detroit Willowrun Airport (KYIP) in 1973, hauling automotive parts throughout the midwest and east coast, for Air Freighters International. AFI was based in Addison, Tex. and had three DC-6s: N6586C, N6589C, and N151. At that time this airplane also some- times flew between Worster, Mass. and Puerto Rico hauling computer parts for the deceased Digital Equipment Corp. I am pleased to see that 86C is still flying.
