This aircraft was sold as is, crated and shipped to Russia, hence the de-registration.

This aircraft was sold and exported to St. Petersburg, Russia. It was the last Lake LA-4-180 produced on the LA-4-180 production line. Subsequently, Lake produced a changed LA-4-200 model, with option of the 180 horsepower engine. A few LA-4-200 models were ordered with the smaller 180 horsepower engine, according to the last American owner of N6683L prior to sale and export.
