I traded a motorcycle for this airplane in the mid-80s when I found it sitting on a used car lot in the Apache Junction, AZ area. After spending over a year going over it (it had sit for a long time) and getting it running again (HAPI aircraft engine based on VW) my son and I trailered it to the Globe/SanCarlos regional airport and after swapping props decided to do taxi tests with it. The plane was damaged beyond repair after it became airborne and was taken apart and parts sold. I just found this by accident while looking for pictures to remind myself of my dreams.... at 73 years of age I now content myself with flying RC models.
