This aircraft was built by Short Brothers at Rochester as a standard Sunderland Mk.III general reconnaissance flying-boat with the serial number JM715. Later converted to a civial spec and renamed to Sandringham, she saw service from 1947 with Tasman Empire Airways on their 1300-mile Sydney-Auckland route. Later sold to Ansett then returned in 1981 to the UK.On display as what is now known as the Solent Sky Museum.
