EQG was my pilot training aircraft at Coonabarabran about 35 years ago. My instructor was John Henry, C.F.I at Tamworth for many years. He flew from Quirindi. John had been a test pilot on bombers in Canada and saw action in Europe. He sent me solo at 8 hours. He was a very good instructor and a gentleman. EQG was my favourite aircraft. Good to know it is being looked after properly. The colour used to be a darkish red. I am now 70.
