This aircraft was involved in a midair collision with Beechcraft TravelAir VH-AEM in or just below cloud at approximately 4000 ft near Mangalore Airport in Victoria. Both aircraft were conducting IFR training and were destroyed in the accident, killing the instructor and student in both aircraft.
