I flew on this plane whilst it was based at RAE Thurleigh as a young radar test engineer in the 80's. Had a few hair raising flights over Bedford taking photos of the Officer's Mess and I think the Flight crew's homes around the base. You know the sort of thing, steep banking turns trying to find the correct location. Oh yes and snow entering the cooling vents on a warm summers day. A lovely plane and a pleasure to fly in it. So sorry to see the cockpit's final resting place after being separated from the main body of the plane.
