G-CTIX @ EGSU - This magnificent two-seat Spitfire began life as a single-seat HF Mk9 in July 1942, based in the Mediterranean with 253 Squadron. Post WWII it was operated by both the Italian and Israeli Air Force. - by chris hall

G-CTIX @ FISHBURN - Supermarine 509 Spitfire T9 at Fishburn Airfield's VE Day celebrations in 2005. Built as an HFIX single seat variant, 462 flew with 253 Sqn in WW2 and latterly with the Italian and Israeli Air Forces. Converted to a TR9 two seat by Charles Church. - by Malcolm Clarke
