N248, 1929 Supermarine S-6A, c/n 344, Supermarine S-6A in 1992. N248 was entered for the Schneider Trophy contest held at Calshot the same year. Disqualified for turning inside a pylon,it nevertheless set a new world air speed record of 332 mph. Now in the Solent Sky Museum in Southampton.
