N9078E - 78E & Champ 93E doing 360s (8K feet level) to gain altitude needed to get over the Sierras. Aeroncas are very good planes, but with 65hp, they are not eager climbers. There was not any lift from Mother Nature so the Aeroncas had to do it on their own. - by S B J

N9078E - 78E after landing on private strip (now closed due in part to a fatal C150 crash) in central calif. around 1994. There were many strips like this in the Mt Hamilton area,most of which are now closed.This strip is now part of Henry Coe state park. - by S B J
