- 59X at beautiful Alpine County with view to the west. Over those mountains (20 miles) on the right, is Lake Tahoe but you must climb to at least 11K feet to clear them with M45 being 5867 ft.With a light load,the C172 59X did very good! - by S B J

- Picture time after a successful crossing of the Sierra Nevada Mountains.This was a beautiful day but a little breezy which you seem to notice in planes like Aeroncas. - by S B J

- Always enjoyed a visit to Alpine County. Nice walk to the Walker river but you may hear rattlesnake sounds near the river in the spring, so be advised!! - by S B J
