- Spotted Bear with view to the NW. This is the main camping and tiedown area.The truck seen behind my Piper Colt, was for transportation to the near by lodge.Yes indeed, it was nice for these taildragger pilots to let me fly along. - by S B J

- Spotted Bear in the summer of 1986. Not exactly a serious backcountry strip, but still nice. That is the south fork of the Flathead river and with the view to the north. - by S B J

- Nice place. A somewhat backcountry strip. Very good for the flatland pilot who wants to experience the backcountry but keep in mind, the air can get very turbulent in the afternoon. Experienced it frist hand !! - by S B J
