78E at a duster strip west of Woodland, Calif. (O41) that I would occasionally land at. Once landed my C150 and was rewarded with 2 nicks in the prop. Never did that again!

 - The Orvis Ranch is a large cattle ranch in the Calif foothills near Hy 4.The owner was an avid pilot in the 50s & 60s till he passed on.Had a twin Beech in one hangar and a PA18 in the other.Were still nice when I flew over in the 70s. - by S B J

 - Orvis ranch in central calif which was active in the 50s & 6os. The left hangar housed a Twin Bonanza C50 with a Cub in the far hangar. In the early 70s I flew over the C50 a mile east. It was only the fuselage.Never found out the story behind it.  - by S B J
