I purchased N43WT out of a salvage yard after it had been flooded by the salt water from Hurricane Ike on Galveston Island. All that remained of it in the junk yard was the fuselage. It had been severely damaged once in the junk yard. I had purchased the wreck with hopes of repairing the massive damage and using the fuselage to build a motor home fr my aviation art business. I soon gave up on the idea after I realized the extent of the damage. I made the nose look similar to a B25 Mitchell bomber and painted the nose art on it. I donated it to the Greatest Generation Aircraft Museum in FtWorth ,Texas, based out at Meacham Field. The nose section of the plane is now on a trailer to be used for educational purposes.
