N43WT, 1943 Lockheed 18-56 Lodestar Lodestar, c/n 18-2565, This was taken a few minutes after the tail was cut off. It was extremely beat up on the other side and the tail had severe corrosion. The tail was cut up into many pieces to later be used to paint replica nose art on.
