@ University Airport - Always enjoyed the lawn (behind planes) especially in the summer.The University knew lawns.Was a nice place to stop for a rest which we did many times. Airport office is also behind planes. South view. - by S B J

@ Shelter Cove Airport - Downwind at Shelter Cove in 1984. Always be watchful of the fog which has contributed to several accidents like a C172 on 8-13-76 & Beech on 7-31-80 and others. Fog gave me some anxious moments on one -VFR- departure. - by S B J

@ Gravelly Valley Airport - This picture shows the road that crosses the south end of runway.While there are stop signs,vehicles do not always stop.Landing, a pilot should be prepared for this!!Seen more then one pilot startled when a car appeared when landing. - by S B J

@ Shelter Cove Airport - Downwind at Shelter Cove in 1985. On 6-27-71, a high time ATP pilot departed Shelter Cove with the rudder and elevator locks still in place on a DC 3 (N90627). Fatal to him and 16 others.7 survied. - by S B J

@ Haigh Field Airport - Haigh airport with view to the south. This was a WWII landing field (no facilities) sometimes known as a landing mat. Like the planes that landed on them,very few (landing mats) survived after the war. - by S B J
