@ Q59 - Fremont,Ca closed in 1986.Most pilots who flew out of Fremont and there were many, will find this picture a familiar sight. It is on the 45 entry to runway 31 and over the landfill. Over the dumps, was an often heard unicom call.View is to the east. - by S B J

@ Carson Airport - Carson City is seen near mts.Dirt crosswind runway(seen best) was welcome on one arrival with gusty 35kt winds with 5-10 seconds of dead calm mixed in .Nasty stuff but the dirt runway was perfectly aligned for my Tcraft.View is north. - by S B J

@ Metropolitan Oakland International Airport - NC938V a 1931 Fleet at the Oakland airport in 1939,when my dad owned it and flew out of Oakland and Alameda airports.Going from a Piper J2 to the Fleet,my dad needed a required logbook endorsement (Class increase) to fly it legally. - by S B J
