Aircraft N9078E Photo

N9078E, 1946 Aeronca 11AC Chief, C/N: 11AC-710
This was one of the nicer hangars 78E has enjoyed but it was for only a short time. The City of Tracy for some reason decided to tear it down thus putting four planes outside. Go figure.

N9078E @ Q59 - 78E on short final at the Fremont airport(Calif) flying over broken cement (was never removed when the airport was built) which discouraged landing short! Over the years, several planes tried without much success like a C150 on 3-1-75. - by S B J

N9078E - The view from 78E. Pretty tall mountains when you only have 65hp up front. The high peaks are around 12 thousand feet. With (abundance of) patience,a good Chief will take you any place you care to go.Must be why they have a 5 hour fuel supply. - by S B J
