 @ NONE - Robbins Airport near  Lake Comanche,Ca.is a private strip.View is to the west and the 1st annual Chief ( and only one) fly in in progress.If open to the public (its not) the 1500 foot runway might need a net at the end to catch sunday pilots. - by S B J

 @ Q59 - Fremont airport in Calif. which was closed in 1986, for 2-3 days a year, went from land based planes to seaplanes.This is one such time. My logbook shows two floods in 1983 (one in Feb and March)which is the only time that happened. - by S B J

 @ Furnace Creek Airport - 932 in the early morning.After 20 consecutive years,the Park service felt its against regulations for a tent next to your plane, thus this was my last plane camping in (at L06) DV.Have flown through and driven to DV since,but its not the same. - by S B J

 @ NONE - Point Arena lighthouse helicopter pad.Near pad is listed on the 1973 California  Chart a STOL runway but no other information. Google map shows only a pad.This is the Northern Calif. coast. Stunningly beautiful place to fly,but far too few airports. - by S B J

 @ San Carlos Airport - TriPacer 71P seen as it begins its takeoff from runway 30. On the left of 71P is a salt pile which helped in poor vis. and next to it is the  historic Howard Hughes Mining Barge I. It was in the Redwood City harbor in the mid 80s.View SE. - by S B J

 @ San Carlos Airport - View one would have taxiing out from the west side to runway 30. Did this for several years in the 80s. View is to the south. Other then the summertime crosswinds,San Carlos was a nice airport and in the mid 80s had some good tower people. - by S B J

 @ O58 - Calistoga 1980 Pilots Guide.Read F/L/T and Fly in Info to help understand why so many pilots miss Calistoga airport being open.Plus a beautiful place to fly gliders.Have flown into many airports and few had  more to offer then Calistoga. - by S B J
