@ NONE - 78E at a ranch strip in the Diablo Range near Mt Hamilton in 1987.Landed there several times till land was given to Calif. to add to an existing state park thus closing the strip.Was a long,wide nice dirt runway.Built for large planes or maybe poor pilots - by S B J

@ NONE - Helicopter pad on Tatoosh Island for the lighthouse near Cape Flattery,Wash.It is on The Strait Of Juan De Fuca.It is the most NW point of the US. View is to the south. - by S B J

@ NONE - Pardee Dam strip.My dad landed here in 1961 on a fishing trip in the near by reservior.A wheel pant came off on landing due to improper installation-by me.Dam is 10 miles from Jackson,Ca.and is not in picture.That is only a small pond. View is north. - by S B J

@ NONE - Haley Ag strip north of Tracy,Ca.near the Sacramento delta.Was able to use it when I kept a boat at a near by marina.Runway is parallel to levee road.Large tower is wires crossing river.My C150 can almost be seen. View is east. - by S B J

@ NONE - Cottonwood Landing,Az.which was 18 miles from Searchlight,Nv. This fantastic public use dirt strip was only 100 feet from the Colorado River.Was closed befor my second visit in 1990.Knew it was much to nice to stay open!! View is to the SW. - by S B J

@ NONE - Large cattle ranch strip near Patterson,Ca.till it was sold for development of high end homes.The paved runway is seen on the left where the road turns right.Flew over it many times but never landed. View is to the west. - by S B J

@ NONE - The Orvis Ranch is a large cattle ranch in the Calif foothills near Hy 4.The owner was an avid pilot in the 50s & 60s till he passed on.Had a twin Beech in one hangar and a PA18 in the other.Were still nice when I flew over in the 70s. - by S B J

@ Amedee Aaf Airport - Amedee AAF near Herlong,Ca with Honey Lake seen in the distance which is often a dry lake.Strip was built in 1942 and is still an active in 2015.Picture is from around 1965. - by S B J
